Good Morning, and welcome to my studio. You must be here because you're in need of a website. I can help you with that. I built this site; and I can build one for you as well. Probably for less money than you think.
Getting your presence or products online may seem a little overwhelming if you are new to the process, but as you will see, getting your site up and running on the internet is very simple. What I would like to do is walk you through the process. The steps you should take before you get a designer involved. It will save you money and help make you familiar with the process for future projects.
The first thing you should do, if you haven't already, is to figure out what the site you want to create is for. Is it a personal site or for business? Are you going to be selling a product from the site (interactive) or is it just going to be an informational or personal site (static) you just want to post information or ideas on? Maybe you are a "brick and mortar" business that wants an internet presence that enables people to find your business from the privacy of their homes. Once they see what you have to offer, and you have done a good job presenting your services or products through your site the customer takes action and contacts you or visits your business.
Whatever your reason for having a website, It needs to be clear in your mind what you want this site to do for you and/or your business or company.
The next thing you want to do is get your domain name/s. Domain names are very cheap. As you can see from the banner to the right you can get domain names for as little as $1.99 per year from GoDaddy.com;
they are the world's No. 1 domain registrar.
What is a domain name? You may already know what a domain name is, but in my experience, most people don't. Allenlong.net is a domain name; MarketingNeeds.net is a domain name, as well as GoDaddy.com. Your domain name is your internet address. (www.yourname.com) It's where you're going to send people who you want to see your website. Keep in mind; a domain name is not the website. Many people purchase domain names for cheap and then sell them for higher prices without ever attaching them to an actual website.
A domain name can be anything you want provided someone else hasn't already thought it up and purchased the rights to it. So if you have an idea for a website name (domain name), click the banner to the right to go to GoDaddy.com, and start your domain name search. When you find a domain name you like, register it for as little as $1.99 per year. Once you do that it's yours; no one else can use it as their web address.
When you have your domain name/s for your site locked in, you are ready for the next step.
Warning: this is your absolute first step in getting your site built. Do not go any farther in this process until you have taken this very important step. You do not need to pay additional money to a web designer for such an easy process you can do yourself. It actually makes the designers job easier if you have already take these two very simple steps:
